Attitude is everything…
There once was a woman named, Sue, who woke up one morning, looked in the mirror, and noticed she had only three hairs on her head.
‘Well’, she said, ‘I think I’ll braid my hair today?’
So she did and she had a wonderful day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and saw that she had only two hairs on her head.
‘H-M-M,’ she said, ‘I think I’ll part my hair down the middle today?’
So she did and she had a grand day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that she had only one hair on her head.
‘Well,’ she said, ‘today I’m going to wear my hair in a pony tail.’
So she did and she had a fun, fun, fun day.
The next day she woke up, looked in the mirror and noticed that there wasn’t a single hair on her head.
‘YEA!’ she exclaimed, ‘I don’t have to fix my hair today!’ —Author Unknown
The moral of Sue’s story is, attitude is everything.

Since I was a child, I had a passion for human psychology and behaviors. I was so curious about how people think and feel; and why they act the way they do. Throughout history, you’ll find men and women such as Viktor Frankl who managed to survive and thrive against all odds. Frankl was one of the Nazi death camp survivors; and lived to become a well-known neurologist, psychiatrist and philosopher. He said, “Everything can be taken from a man but one thing: the last of the human freedoms—to choose one’s ATTITUDE in any given set of circumstances, to choose one’s own way.”

According to the Merriam-Webster Dictionary, attitude is defined as the way you think and feel about yourself, someone, or something else. This definition gives an insight in to what attitude is, it helps us understand a major element of attitude. It’s based first, on our perception or view of ourselves, which is what eventually determines how we view others, and the things they do for us. So, the first step to take is to learn how to appreciate our being and existence.
The primary key to the happier you is to develop an attitude of gratitude.
With that in mind, I invite you to develop an attitude of gratitude and pursue your goals.
Let’s start by appreciating the little things about yourself and your environment.
This list may include qualities such as how beautiful your smile is, how good of a cook you are, how you have the unique ability to make others laugh, and any other good qualities you think you have.
Perhaps, you don’t have a car, but you can value your health and your ability to walk. Your house may not be your dream home, but you can appreciate the fact that some are homeless.

Until you truly understand how unique and invaluable you are as a person and appreciate your blessings, you will never truly understand your power and your ability to fully enjoy true happiness. You’ll never understand this basic truth: ‘our view of ourselves influences our view of others—and our attitude determines the life we live.’ Oprah Winfrey says it well, “The more thankful I became, the more my bounty increased… And the greatest discovery of all time is that a person can change his future by merely changing his attitude.”
There are two powerful words that will transform your life faster than you thought possible; and they are as follow:
The practice of ‘Attitude of Gratitude’ is a powerful way forward in achieving any goal.
As you continue to practice this virtue and pursue your goals, your life will be transformed!
