What is fear? It’s a normal human emotion. Our fears can be rational or irrational. The rational response is good because it alerts us that danger is present. However, irrational fear paralyzes us and prevents us from pursuing our goals.

Where does it come from?

Fear is a learned behavior. It’s a state of mind. Another word, we were taught to be afraid. For example, a child has no fear at birth until he or she has learned to be afraid.

According to psychological research, fear is affected by cultural and historical context. People develop specific fears as a result of learning. This has been studied in psychology as fear conditioning, beginning with John B. Watson’s Little Albert experiment in 1920, which was inspired after observing a child with an irrational fear of dogs.
