What is Low Self-Esteem?

According to the American Psychologist Abraham Maslow, there’re six basic human needs that drive our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. Self-esteem is one of the critical needs required for an effective personhood. What’s self-esteem? It’s a person’s overall subjective emotional evaluation of his or her own worth.

How do you see yourself? Write your answer down and share it with your loved ones. They may provide you with new perspective that you may have missed.

Your perspective is everything. The way you perceive yourself will determine your reality and who you are. My favorite quote… “Your Mindset determines your Feelings, your feelings determine your Actions, and your actions determine your results. If you want to change your results, start by renewing your MIND.”

We are all born with a balance self-esteem and self-confidence. However, the experiences of life and our reactions to them can cause us to either develop low Self-esteem or high Self-esteem.

“Low self esteem is like internal bleeding. It weakens you from within. You may look normal on the outside but are dying on the inside. Low self esteem will make you see a kitten instead of a lion or lioness. As a result you will lose faith in who you truly are and that will seep your inner strength” (Dr. Lauretta Justin).

Low self-esteem is a major obstacle preventing our success. If you struggle with this OBSTACLE, you’re not alone. It’s one the most requested topic. I wrote this blog series to help you boost your self-esteem and achieve achieve your goals.
